Royal Honda promises service fit for royalty. However, COVID-19 has forced us, along with everyone, to change how we go about things in our lives. In an effort to live up to that promise, we’ve taken steps to help protect everyone from staff to customers while shopping in-person at our dealership.

PREVENTATIVE STEPS TAKEN AT THE DEALERSHIP

Effective immediately, our dealership has implemented the following steps to ensure a healthy environment for all guests:

As it is with any dealership, there are a lot of surfaces that you can come into contact with during your shopping experience. We’ve instructed our cleaning crews to clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces, tables, lobbies, door handles, restrooms, van shuttle seats, phones, and more, continuously throughout the day.

While we keep our high-touch surfaces clean, there are other items that can be passed around a lot during the day that are a bit more difficult to keep clean. So we’ve placed hand sanitizing stations around our showroom and office areas. We highly recommend using them after handling items like keys, pens, clipboards, etc.

We had a whole quarantine to prevent the spread, but now it’s up to us. We’ve mandated our staff to stay home if they are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms and we also pass it onto you as well. If you are feeling sick, we ask that you remain at home and come in at a time when you are feeling better.


The steps we are taking moving forward have been inspired by the advice being provided to the public from trusted organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

At Royal Honda, we always want to give you the best car buying experience possible. For this reason, our guidelines and preventative measures will remain in place until further notice.


WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU OUTSIDE OF THE DEALERSHIP

COMPLIMENTARY PICKUP AND DELIVERY OPTIONS*

Shopping online has become the new fad, even before COVID-19. So our team at Royal Honda figured we should make shopping at home as good, if not better, than shopping in person. To do this, we added a couple of brand new programs designed to allow you to completely stay at home through the entire process. 

    To start off, we made it so you can tackle the entire buying process, from finding your car, test driving it, applying for financing, and getting your brand new car, all from the comfort and safety of your own home. We call this the new car delivery service. For this, once you’ve completed everything you need to do to buy your new car, just let us know where you are and someone from our sales team will hand deliver your brand new Honda or used car! 

    Next up we’ve got a convenience program for those who are looking to get their Honda serviced. Typically, you would need to bring your car into our service center and wait around until it’s finished. But with our brand new service pick-up system, you can relax at home or work while our team picks up your car and drops it back off to you! If you need a loaner, we’ll even set you up with one you can use during the day. 

    We are doing a lot at Royal Honda to make sure that whether you’re buying in person or at home, you have a similar experience and one is not overtly better than the other. These are two very new programs that we are running, so if you need any additional information or have any questions, our team will be happy to fill in the gaps for you!


AT HOME TEST DRIVE*

When you’re browsing through our inventory online, it can be hard to settle on one car or the other without actually seeing it for yourself. But because of COVID-19, many are more comfortable remaining at home instead of potentially exposing themselves to the risk of contracting the virus. This is something we 100% understand, and a problem we have fixed, thanks to our at-home test drive! 

    Now, when you find a car you think you like, instead of having to come into the dealership to do your test drive, you can let us know a date and time of when you would like to schedule it and we’ll come to you! As long as you are within 20 miles of our Veterans Memorial Blvd location in Metairie, you can schedule one of these unique test drives. This includes areas within New Orleans like Kenner, Destrehan, and LaPlace.

When you’re done with the initial test drive, you can choose whether to keep the car or send it back, depending on if you liked the car or not. There’s no inherent obligation to settle with the first car you test drive at home, so if there’s another car you’d like to try you can go ahead and schedule an at-home test drive for that one. There’s also no limit to the number of test drives you can do, so try out as many as you like until you’ve found the one that fits best.
